1. Noticing when they are present.
  2. Noticing when they are absent.
  3. Understand conditional nature, what brings them into being, what was the cause of that flurry of feelings
  4. What allows the difficulty to pass? What way of relating to that experience allows it cease
  5. Think about how to prevent it from re-arising.
